Guitar Talk (all age students)

This fun, interactive program is geared for all age students. The MGQ will demonstrate the different parts of the guitar and how various (and often surprising) sounds are produced on the instrument. The quartet will play musical examples from various different countries both by historical and living composers. Through participation in an ensemble exercise, the students will learn about teamwork, cooperation, and what it takes to be part of a successful group. Questions about the instruments, the music, and the performers are encouraged throughout the 40-50 minute session.
