MGQ with Voice

The Minneapolis Guitar Quartet’s collaboration with solo vocalist began in 2019 with “Scent Songs”, written by Minnesota composer Mary Ellen Childs for the MGQ and award-winning mezzo-soprano Clara Osowski. Following the premiere of this wonderful song set, the Minneapolis Guitar Quartet and Clara Osowski have continued building a repertoire for guitar quartet and voice with new arrangements of Joaquin Rodrigo’s “Cuatro Madrigales Amatorios” and five songs by Franz Schubert. In 2017, Osowski was awarded the Richard Tauber Prize for the best interpretation of Schubert Leider.
