MGQ with Flute

The Minneapolis Guitar Quartet’s program with flute features several works commissioned by the MGQ and world touring flutist Linda Chatterton: Cuban composer Leo Brouwer’s “La Balada del Bosque y el Ave”, Brazilian-American composer Clarice Assad’s “Chorinho em Cabo Verde”, and American composer Aaron Travers’ “Forests and Barrios”. Topped off with the MGQ’s arrangement of Astor Piazzolla’s “Moderato Tangabile”, this program offers a thrilling and greatly varied collection of Latin American styles.
